A few of her new favorite quotes....

My “Cinderella Story”
Growing up was a bit of a challenge for my creative mind. My High school English teacher told me I wouldn’t amount to anything and I had no future, many others said I was a daydreamer who lacked focus and my dance teacher actually said to me when I struggled to get one of the moves right “why are you even here?” in front of our whole class. She just assumed I wasn’t trying. I loved dance (still do), but was left mortified and quit soon after. I started writing a novel at the age of fifteen, but due to my lack of confidence in school I never finished it and gave up writing stories and my dabbling in writing music lyrics ended too. I listened to those who didn’t believe in me. I believed you had to be “book smart” to make it as a writer and that I would only be laughed at. Where do we, the creative scatterbrains go? I felt lost for years.
I started my own photography business that I ran for nearly eight years while also being a stay at home mom. I liked photography, but found there was too much business involved which I didn’t enjoy and felt I was suffocating creatively (I realize creativity is very much a part of photography, but it wasn’t the creative outlet I needed). I had more to offer then what I was giving.

At a ladies night event I got the opportunity to have my palm read. I had never had it done and thought why the heck not. She hit the nail on the head with every word she spoke like she knew me. Even at one point she cried saying I had such an amazingly bright spirit and had so much to give. If a palm reader believed so much in me, why didn’t any of my teachers believe in me? Why didn't I believe in me? She proceeded to ask if I write. I told her I hadn’t since I was fifteen. She stressed that I needed to start again. I figured she meant entering my thoughts in a journal which I tried a few times and soon forgot until I was three chapter’s in to my first book. I began to study the teachings of Abraham Hicks (Law of Attraction) and I came to realize that no one can bring me down but myself and I was the ONLY one who needed to believe in me and here I am with a career as a writer and am enjoying it in every way, even the “business” part of it. I feels like what I was meant to do and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to share my stories and idea’s with all of you. I feel truly blessed to be doing what I love❣
